It’s been a while since I updated you. I feel like I’ve been moving so much I’ve barely had time to let anyone know where I am. So, in case you were worrying (mom) I’m fine and happy.

The latest thing I’m thrilled about is that I finally have a new backing band! It’s been years since I got to play on stage with other folks this way, so I’m really excited to be introducing Juliana Finch & The Gentleman Scholars on December 15th at Twain’s in Decatur, GA. There’s NO COVER so I hope to see as many of your smiling faces as possible. We’re doing some songs you’ve heard before and also a bunch of newer ones that haven’t found their way onto any recordings.

On a related note, I’ve been blessed to play some really gratifying, wonderful shows lately, especially the house concerts I’ve been honored to be invited for. This video is from the Music Under The Moss house concert that I played last month in Florida, definitely one of the highlights of my year!

I hope December finds you well and can’t wait to see you at a show soon!

I am so overwhelmed and grateful for all of your love and support. Every day, and especially today, you all make me feel so special. I feel the impact of your love everywhere I go, and I carry it with me in everything I do.

“It takes a village to raise a child,” but it also takes a village to raise and support an artist.  YOU are my village.  When I am unsure if I can go on, you lift me up. When I don’t know my next move, you guide me. When I can’t see my way around a problem, you shine a light.

This village of mine is all a network of families. There is the family I was born to, the family I was raised by, the family I have chosen along the way – and my family of fans which seems to get wider and stronger all the time.  As I embark on this next year, I feel optimistic about whatever comes next, because I know you’ll be right there with me.

Just a quick note to let you know I’ll be traveling quite a bit in the next few months to play shows and promote the new album.  I’m especially focusing on house concerts, so please get in touch over here if you want me to play your place!

I’ll also be hanging out on the Cayamo Cruise boat in February, so if you’re going to be on it, too, make sure you find me and say hi.  I’m bringing my guitar for some impromptu jam sessions throughout the week.
